This is a multi-role opportunity: you’ll train and work as a Utilities Operative, with the potential to specialise in either Civil Works or Network Cabling — depending on your strengths and interests
No experience? No problem. You’ll receive full, industry-recognised training worth over £30,000 across three years to develop into a qualified wireless and network infrastructure specialist.
Role 1 – Civil Operative
- Carry out groundwork, excavation, and reinstatement as part of network infrastructure builds.
- Safely operate tools and machinery under supervision.
- Read and interpret site drawings and plans.
- Ensure safe site setup, following all H&S and reinstatement standards.
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions as part of a small, supportive team.
Role 2 – Cabling Operative
- Install and route network cables for wireless access points and related equipment.
- Terminate and test cables on patch panels and network devices.
- Read and understand technical drawings and cabling schematics.
- Work at height when installing network equipment (Working at Height training provided).
- Operate MEWPs — IPAF 3A/3B certification preferred (training provided if not held).
Pay & Perks
- Basic Pay: £25,500
- £1,000 annual incrementsbased on performance
- Earn up to £10,000 OTEby hitting clear targets
